The SAT seems unnecessary.

Forms of the SAT
Students applying to undergraduate programmes are required to take SAT 1, often known as the Scholastic Assessment Test or SAT for short. This exam is administered by the College Board. The purpose of the SAT 1 is to provide a broad assessment of a candidate’s abilities in reading, writing, and arithmetic. However, the SAT 2 is more focused on specific subjects. If you want to enrol in a specific course, you’ll need to take the SAT Subject Test to prove your proficiency in that area. By June 2021, the College Board will no longer provide SAT Subject Tests. Those interested in enrolling in a baccalaureate programme in 2022 need just take the SAT that year. SAT Preparation Online

Update on the Most Recent SAT
The College Board has just revealed that the SAT will become a computer-based examination beginning in 2023, shortening the exam from three to two hours in length. Candidates may be permitted to use a calculator during the quantitative portion of the test. According to Priscilla Rodriguez, Vice President, College Readiness Assessments (PSAT & SAT), at The College Board, “the digital SAT will be simpler to take, easier to offer, and more relevant.” Beginning in early 2023, students from outside the United States will be able to take the SAT digitally; US high school students will be able to do so beginning in 2024. The current method of filling in bubbles on a multiple-choice response sheet is using a pencil. Digital SAT test results will be sent to students in days, rather than weeks.

DENSE HUMIDITY AND THE CORONAVIRUS V (COVID-19) WARNING: Test centres are now running below capacity as a result of the COVID-19. Test-takers for the SAT 2022 may now sign up and schedule their exams for the current school year. During the registration process, they may find out whether a testing facility is available near them.

As a result of the SAT’s demise, several international institutions have begun to make standardised testing optional. For students, what does this imply, and will it last? Keep reading and all your concerns will be addressed.

In recent years, the SAT has been made available in India via the College Board. In 2018, the College Board implemented an India Further Education Alliance with numerous educational institutions, which is great news for students interested in pursuing higher education at top-tier institutions in India. All Alliance member universities recognise SAT scores when considering applications from students in India and elsewhere. Students interested in applying to colleges and institutions internationally may take the SAT in 2022. Examine the list of Indian academic institutions that recognise the SAT, too.
